Hello fearless readers.
Today marked my first experience with the Chinese government as I attempted to get my travel visa and was denied for not having an invitation letter from my in-laws. I'll make another attempt next week. This was also my first try at getting a visa for entering a country. A US passport is usually sufficient for entry into a country, but the Chinese are not quite so generous.
